About Ms. Ellis
A strong advocate for human rights and fair access to effective mental health care, Ms. Ellis has developed a strong passion for doing her part to increase accessibility to quality treatment with positives outcomes, no matter how small the progress. She desires to offer a place of safety and growth to all who are ready to do the work towards becoming their best selves.
Ms. Ellis has years of experience working with children, youth, adults, and older adults across several different settings with myriad issues and mental illnesses. She is respectful of all individuals regardless of their circumstances and background. Ms. Ellis uses an integrative and trauma-informed approach to helping people work through their life struggles. She is personable and relatable while also offering the most up-to-date evidence-based treatments. Modalities used in care include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Choice Theory/Reality Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing, just to name a few.
Ms. Ellis specializes in various disorders, issues, and concerns with a strong background in mood, anxiety, and sleep disorders. With her strong ability to actively listen, individuals feel heard and understood. She specializes in thorough interviewing skills designed to ask questions that in turn encourage clients to delve deeper into their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, ultimately provoking positive change.
Ms. Ellis’s ability to build strong therapeutic relationships encourages individuals to explore their inner thoughts and feelings that influence behaviors, choices, and problem-solving patterns in a non-judgmental way. Ms. Ellis takes a holistic, person-centered approach to counseling and therapy. Her goal is to mitigate mental illness stigma and to overall improve people’s lives.
